Megan Shackelford

Megan is a lead strategist and campaign management consultant at SMV. She has spent the last decade working with candidates and campaign committees across all levels of government. Megan specializes in strategic messaging, direct mail and field strategy. 

She began her career as a Field Director with a national grassroots consulting firm which solidified her passion for direct voter contact. She has worked on dozens of local Proposition and Issue campaigns, including high profile regional issues like the CityArchRiver sales tax, the Metropolitan Sewer District bond issue campaigns, Proposition Z in support of the Saint Louis Zoo and the retention of the City’s Earnings Tax. She also served as campaign manager for Mayor Lyda Krewson and State Senator Tracy McCreery. 

Megan is a regular contributor to the Dave Glover Show Think Tank on KMOX. She graduated from the University of Kansas with degrees in Political Science, International Studies and Peace and Conflict Studies.
